On Day 12 of my trip around the SI I was approaching Twizel having started the day at Lake Hawea, About 30 Km from Twizel I spotted some nice looking cloud hovering around the hills in the far distance, so I turned left and wound my way down a gravel road for about 40Km. I thought it was going to be an alternate rural route to Lake Ohau , but it turned out to be a dead end about 10Km from Lake Ohau. Was I disappointed, no as the scenery there and back was stunning....this is just one of many shots on this bit of the journey
